The date changed because November 1 falls on a Sunday. The maximum direct payment remains $994 for eligible individuals. This upcoming check follows current benefit rates. It will not include any new adjustments. Tomorrow, October 14, federal officials announce the 2027 Cost-of-Living Adjustment. That official COLA number determines how much monthly benefit checks will increase starting in January.
