Antarctica flights take off with fuel made from kitchen waste

Antarctica tourists flying from Cape Town will soon travel on fuel partly made from used cooking oil. South Africa’s Sasol is supplying sustainable aviation fuel to luxury operator White Desert, which runs trips costing up to $120,000, as Antarctic tourism faces pressure to reduce its environmental impact.
