Bangladesh, US sign MoU on strategic civil nuclear cooperation

Bangladesh and the United States have signed an MoU to expand strategic cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy as Dhaka seeks to diversify its long-term energy sources. The agreement covers nuclear safety, security, safeguards and non-proliferation, with Bangladesh developing its first nuclear power plant at Rooppur.
