FIFA President Gianni Infantino has ordered an assessment regarding financial distributions to national associations. This initiative follows requests from UEFA and CONCACAF for a $2.1 billion payout. Each of FIFA's 211 member associations may receive at least $10 million in the next cycle. Infantino emphasized the need for proper governance and transparency in any financial decisions made. The FIFA Council is set to review these proposals on October 15.
