Imran Khan's party's provincial government suspended by Pakistan president

Pakistan's president suspended the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after declaring a state of emergency. This decision was made following tensions between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's administration and Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party. Khan's party has been protesting for his release and threatening to march on the capital Islamabad. A close aide of Khan criticised the move as a ridiculous decision and warned of instability.
