Staff at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay made an extraordinary discovery while preparing for the organization’s 100th-anniversary exhibit. A copper box welded shut for decades turned out to be a 1962 time capsule from the opening of the Interbay Boys Club. It also contained congratulatory telegram from former US President Herbert Hoover. The artifacts will be displayed at the Tampa Bay History Center’s centennial exhibit.
