After excluding Gen-Z from voting rights, EC trying to cover up with youth camps: Congress

Congress spokesperson Ragini Nayak Basoya criticised the Election Commission for excluding first-time voters from the electoral process. She claimed that the Modi government is afraid of the growing political awareness among Gen Z voters. Basoya alleged that the statutory process for registering new voters has been stalled for two years. She pointed out that recent changes to registration requirements violate electoral laws and are unauthorised.
