Khan Market and Connaught Place remained shut in New Delhi on Saturday amid protest-related security concerns, with traders warning of mounting losses from repeated disruptions. Khan Market Traders Association president Sanjiv Mehra estimated that a day’s closure could cost a shop Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh. Traders also cited rent, salaries, perishable goods and fears of property damage as reasons for staying closed, ANI reported.
