What is fuelling French school protests?

High-school students are protesting outside their schools in France, with entrances blockaded and the institutions and security forces responding with tear gas. Over 5000 people were arrested and 735 educational insitutions were affected. The movement began at the Saint-Exupery high school in Creitel. The government acknowledeges that the student face many grievances but complain that the hard-left is inciting the violent protests.
